Selby Gardens – Lights in Bloom (Dec 6, 2025–Jan 3, 2026)
One of Sarasota’s most beloved traditions, Lights in Bloom features more than two million lights illuminating the lush botanical gardens. Larger-than-life floral displays, glowing pathways, and shimmering tropical scenes make this event stand out as one of the most unique holiday experiences in Florida. Nightly entertainment, photo ops, and food options are available. Early entry begins at 5:30 p.m., and the main event runs from 6:30–9:00 p.m.
UTC Festival of Trees (Dec 5–18, 2025)
The Mall at University Town Center becomes a glittering wonderland with its annual Festival of Trees. Local charities decorate creative themed trees, which guests can admire, vote on, and bid for through the silent auction. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the participating nonprofits, making this event as heartwarming as it is beautiful.
Enander’s Winter Wonderland (Opens Dec 7-Jan 1, 2026)
This iconic Nokomis display has become a family tradition for thousands of Floridians. Featuring over 350,000 sparkling lights and more than 400 illuminated figurines, the Enander family opens their property nightly for the community to enjoy. It’s free to walk through and offers an old-fashioned holiday charm you won’t find anywhere else.
Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights (Dec 13)
Palm trees, ocean breezes, and fully decorated boats glowing across the bay—this annual parade is a uniquely Florida way to celebrate the season. Boats begin their route from City Island around 7 p.m., and viewers can enjoy the festivities from Bayfront Park, Island Park, or Marina Jack.
Sarasota Christmas Glow Run 5K (Dec 13)
Perfect for active families, this nighttime run lights up Nathan Benderson Park with music, glowing décor, and even “snow” at the finish line. Runners and walkers welcome!
Wellen Park Holiday Festival of the Arts (Dec 13–14)
This brand-new event turns downtown Wellen Park into an open-air art gallery. Guests can explore original handmade works—from ceramics and jewelry to mixed media, sculptures, and woodworking—while enjoying a festive holiday atmosphere.
