Myakka City is home to this incredible 190 acre nature center that was established in 1878. Bring the family to Crowley Museum and Nature Center to see rare Florida foliage, historic buildings, peaceful ambiance, and a number of adorable farm animals! Crowley also has educational children’s programs that aid in cultivating self reliance, an appreciation for nature, and practical life skills. Myakka River State Park
This gorgeous park is 37,000 acres large and consists of forests and wetlands. Kayaking, hiking, bird watching, camping, and all sorts of adventuring take place within this great park here in Myakka City. This state park also has a tram and boat tours you can partake in! It is located in the southwestern corner of the city, and it is a well loved asset to this community. Watch out for Alligators!

Crane Park

Crane Park is also home to a quaint fishing pond.
Beker – Wingate Creek State
This great state park is located north of Myakka City center, and is a lovely place to get a breath of fresh air, and take in the beautiful Florida landscape you live in. Bring the dog, or go for a run or hike in this outdoor space. Be sure to bring water, and sunscreen!

Head to this locally owned and operated eatery on Manatee Avenue for friendly service, tasty good and a cozy ambiance.
